The Navi-Pro Touch along with a sextant and star map can provide your location longitude and latitude without the use of GPS or cellular signals. This Celestial Navigation Computer provides astrological information about the location of the earth with respect to the sun and stars. This information combined with sight observations of the sun and stars can determine a location. This is valuable when GPS information is questionable or unavailable. GPS information has been known to be scrambled or discontinued during military operations. Lightning strikes or battery failure can also cause GPS data to be unavailable or unreliable. For safety reasons it is imperative that sailors and other travelers have a back-up system to keep themselves from getting lost.
